Short-pitch precision roller chains are commonly specified with different standard naming systems. The safest replacement workflow is to match the dimensional reference rather than relying on a similar-looking chain.

Practical selection workflow

Record pitch, roller diameter, inner width, pin diameter and strand count. Then verify the corresponding sprocket and connecting-link arrangement. If a machine uses a legacy reference, send the old chain marking and a measured sample.

Information to send with an inquiry

Include the existing reference, measured dimensions, quantity, operating speed, load or motor information where available, and the environment around the drive. For a replacement, photos of the old component and its mating part can prevent mismatches.

Related components

Chains, sprockets, pulleys, bushings and couplings work as systems. Checking the mating component at the same time can reduce repeat maintenance and make the quotation more useful.
